Property Tax Relief
The State of Tennessee provides tax relief for the elderly {age 65 and over) and the disabled as well as disabled veterans. Certain criteria must be met to qualify. Residents must re-qualify annually. Please see the program information sheet here or call or come by our office to determine eligibility. The City of Mt. Juliet and Wilson County both offer this program. Please note: Residents must pay their city property taxes in full, and the State of Tennessee uses the application certified by the city to provide payment to the homeowner.
Property Tax Freeze Program
The voters of Tennessee approved an amendment to the Tennessee constitution to allow for a freeze on property taxes for taxpayers 65 years of age or older. The City of Mt. Juliet Board of Commissioners adopted the tax freeze for city property taxes in 2025. Information about the program can be found here. Wilson County has also approved a tax freeze for Wilson County property taxes and residents should contact the Trustee's Office for information.
