Patrol Services


The Patrol Division stands as the proactive team of officers behind the safety and security of Mt. Juliet, offering round-the-clock vigilance, enforcement, and swift responses to reported incidents. Regarded as the backbone of our department, the Patrol Division is entrusted with safeguarding life and property through unwavering and continuous patrol coverage. These officers epitomize the core of the Mt. Juliet Police Department, demonstrating a steadfast dedication to serving and protecting the community, fostering our reputation of strong, dedicated, community service.

Our Police Department boasts a team of highly competent, trained, and equipped officers, each well-versed in the intricacies of the city's ordinances, as well as traffic, civil, criminal, and state laws. Their expertise ensures a vigilant and informed presence, contributing to the overall safety and well-being of our community.

The division is structured in two different squads, day and night, and is lead by Lieutenant Cory Cook and Lieutenant Josh Workman.

Patrol Shift Structure

  • 12-Hour Shift
  • 84 hours a pay period (2 weeks)
  • Set Shift (Day: 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. or Night: 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.)
  • Rotating days off (off every other Friday, Saturday, and Sunday)
    • Week One: Work Monday & Tuesday, Off Wednesday & Thursday, Work Friday, Saturday, & Sunday
    • Week Two: Off Monday & Tuesday, Work Wednesday & Thursday, Off Friday, Saturday, & Sunday
