Class Descriptions

Yoga

PricingAll donations are directed to the instructor.

A slow strength-building practice using yoga poses, functional movements, and short flow sequences to build muscle, bone strength, balance, and agility.  Blocks and straps, and chairs are provided. Please bring a mat.  The class also works with Pilates/ Swiss ball to build additional core strength every other week on Wednesdays.  Modifications are given so all can find a practice that meets their fitness level.  Class is a mix of standing and floor poses.

Jazzercise is the original dance party workout. Blending dance with Pilates, yoga, kickboxing, and strength training, one 55-minute session can burn up to 800 calories. The results? Long, lean muscles and an undeniable mood boost.

Classic Strength classes (Mondays & Thursdays)-

User-friendly for all ages, skill, and fitness levels. This "senior-specific" group fitness glass uses formatted music to help you gain strength, balance, and flexibility you will have so much fun, that you will forget you are exercising! Participants should bring two dumbbells, tubing, and a small ball. Chairs will be used in the class.


BlaZe Dance Fitness class (Tuesdays)-

Keep moving with upbeat songs using BlaZe fitness brand moves. No rhythm, No worries! Just move and groove. No equipment is needed. Dance like no one is watching!

Barre Fit class (Wednesdays)- 

This class will offer flexibility and safe functional moves to improve recovery from injuries or prevent them. A variety of training tools will be used. What you need to bring will be small weights, a block, and a strap. Some equipment will be available. 


Chair Yoga class (Wednesdays)-

This class focuses on flexibility, breathing, balance, and relaxation techniques. Students should bring a mat, blanket, yoga strap and a block. Chair and mat options. 


Swiss Ball Yoga (2nd Thursday of the each month)-

Using your Swiss Ball, your instructor will guide you though a variety of yoga postures and practices that offer an alternative result from your traditional yoga. 


Cardio Circuit class (Friday's)-

Don't let the word "Cardio" keep you away! Keep at your own pace. Extra consideration is taken for the 55+ population. Circuit means that cardio drills are blended with strength exercises using body weight resistance. No equipment needed! 


Hula Hoop Fitness ( 1st Friday of each Month)

This class will bring stamina, coordination and is easy on your body. Core muscles will be a focal point.
