Mt. Juliet, Tenn. – The Public Works department is ramping-up staff levels to begin collecting vegetative debris from the recent wind storm. New grapple trucks, in addition to chipper trucks, will allow staff to maximize their efforts to remove debris across the community. Vegetative debris must fit within the following criteria to be removed:
In addition to this effort, the City continues to work with the FEMA contractor in collecting the 3/3/2020 tornado-related debris, but that effort is slowing down. The final pass for debris pickup will begin next Monday, May 11, 2020. All affected residents should have their tornado-related debris within 10-feet of the roadway by Sunday, May 10, 2020. Any tornado-related debris brought to the road past that time may not be collected.
